A living vineyard,
a committed wineThe winemakerbehind every plot
Rooted in Rosenwiller since the 1820s, at the foot of the Vosges, Domaine EINHART is far more than a story of vines: it is a living land, passed from hand to hand for more than seven generations. Here, the land speaks before the wine. Its nuances, its silences and its strengths guide the work and inspire every choice. Returning to the family estate in 2020, Théo embodies the seventh generation of a line of winemakers deeply connected to the land of Rosenwiller. Alongside his father Nicolas, a pioneer of organic viticulture as early as 2003, he continues a vision founded on listening to the living and an intimate understanding of each place.
Our cuvées,an expression of a living terroir
The wines of Domaine EINHART tell a story of places and balance. Each cuvée is an extension of a soil, a light, a precise moment in the life of the vine. The range unfolds in four complementary families:
- The Must-Haves, a pure and straightforward expression of the fruit.
- Terres de Blancs, wines of energy and texture from limestone slopes.
- Terres de Rouges, Pinot Noirs of elegance and depth, with a fine, vibrant grain.
- The Great Whites, wines of time, emotion and memory—true liquid portraits of the estate.
All share the same signature: the pursuit of precision, balance and life. Living, precise wines, capable of conveying the sincerity of the place and the winemaker’s sensitivity.
When the story of wineintertwines with that of the land
Domaine EINHART is discovered as a living place, shaped by nature and time. Among the vines or in the intimacy of the cellar, the visit offers an immersion in respectful viticulture, guided by observation and intuition. Visitors are invited to understand the approach: the diversity of soils, daily practices, and the role of soil and climate in the vine’s balance. An authentic encounter, far from conventional discourse, to share the vision of a winemaker who seeks to let his land speak rather than dominate it. Every conversation, every tasting is an invitation to feel the vitality of the place.
Complementation and organica vine in harmony
A pioneer in Alsace, the estate committed to organic viticulture as early as 2003, before naturally integrating the principles of biodynamics. Each plot is considered a living organism, observed and supported according to its own balance. Physiological pruning, adapted to each vine, promotes the natural flow of sap and preserves the plant’s vitality.
The soils are worked with restraint or left to rest, in order to restore microbial life and biodiversity. Green manure sowing, herbal infusions, fermented extracts and compost teas strengthen the vineyard’s natural defences and nourish the soil. Plant diversity, scions, rootstocks and cover crops ensure the system’s resilience and enrich the wines’ complexity.
No approach is set in stone: every decision arises from observing the living and listening to the place. Everything converges towards a single objective: to place soil life back at the heart of the terroir and reveal, through wine, nature’s truest expression.
