Oberer Altenberg «Top of the Old Mountain»
A remarkable grape variety that, when allowed to find its place, becomes the parchment and its terroir the pen with which it brilliantly describes its textures, its energy, and its salivation. A very fertile loess terroir gives it exceptional drinkability, a fluid salivation from the back to the front of your palate, and a broad, airy aromatic profile generously offered by the calcareous sands. Bitterness and salinity have become the signature of the Rosheim hillsides.
